TURIN: A couple of hours is certainly not enough to discover the heritage of Turin. However, for those who have never been here before, it's a great way to get up close and personal with the main attractions of the old town and capture the essence of a city many call "Little Paris."

The tour begins in Piazza Castello and continues through the most beautiful Baroque squares, such as Piazza Carignano and Piazza Carlo Alberto. We'll travel back in time to the 17th and 18th centuries, when Turin became the capital of the Duchy of Savoy and began an architectural revolution that transformed the city into a modern Baroque capital.

This evening we will also attend a cooking class in Turin.

June 7

ASTI: Great merchants and intelligent medieval bankers made the city of Asti rich and powerful, placing it among the European superpowers, leaving their mark on a number of truly unique Romanesque and Gothic fortified houses, mighty churches, and skyrocketing towers.

Asti homes the most imposing cathedral in Piedmont, the birthplace of Vittorio Alfieri, as well as the Romanesque complex of San Pietro in Consavia, a replica of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, built by the Knights of St. John, along with the Holy Infirmary, conceived as a modern hospital. Around Asti, wine is the main protagonist, and there are numerous wineries.
